Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Unglue app (hereby referred to as the "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Computer go beep AB (hereby referred to as the "Service Provider") as a commercial service. The Application is provided on an "AS IS" basis.

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:

  • Your device’s Internet Protocol address (for example IP address)
  • The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on those pages
  • The total time spent using the Application
  • The operating system used on your mobile device

The Application does not collect precise real time location data from your mobile device.

The Application may collect approximate location information derived from IP address to help the Service Provider:

  • Provide region appropriate functionality and content
  • Analyze aggregated usage patterns and improve Application performance
  • Detect abuse and ensure service reliability

Any location data used is aggregated and anonymized where possible.

For a better experience while using the Application, the Service Provider may request certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to age and gender. This information is retained and used only as described in this Privacy Policy.

Camera and Photo Data

Unglue uses your device's camera solely for the purpose of verifying completion of photo-based habits (e.g., "Smile," "Touch Grass," "Make Your Bed"). When you use the photo verification feature:

  • Face Detection: For the "Smile" habit, the app uses Apple's Vision framework (VNDetectFaceRectanglesRequest) to detect whether a face is present in the image. This is a simple presence check (face detected or not detected) — the app does not analyze facial features, expressions, emotions, or identity. No biometric data or faceprint is created.
  • On-Device Processing Only: All photo analysis is performed entirely on your device using Apple's built-in Vision framework. Photos and analysis results are never transmitted to Unglue's servers or any third party.
  • No Storage or Retention: Photos captured for habit verification are held temporarily in device memory only during the verification process. They are not saved to disk, not uploaded to any server, and not retained after you leave the verification screen. No face data is stored at any time.
  • No Sharing: Face detection results and captured photos are never shared with third parties. No third-party SDKs in the app (Supabase, RevenueCat, Mixpanel, Facebook SDK, SuperwallKit) have access to camera data or face detection results.
  • User Control: Photo verification is optional. You initiate it by tapping the camera button for photo-scan habits. You can retake photos or dismiss the screen at any time.

Third Party Access

Only aggregated and anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to assist the Service Provider in improving the Application and its functionality.

The Application uses third party services that have their own Privacy Policies regarding data handling. These include:

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

  • As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process
  • When disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or investigate fraud
  • With trusted service providers who act on behalf of the Service Provider and are contractually obligated to maintain confidentiality and use the information only to provide their services

Data Retention Policy

The Service Provider retains User Provided data only for as long as necessary to provide the Application’s functionality and for a reasonable period thereafter.

If you would like your data deleted, please contact the Service Provider at hello@unglue.app. Requests are handled within a reasonable timeframe.

Children

The Application is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

If it is discovered that a child under 13 has provided personal information, that information will be deleted promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information may contact the Service Provider at hello@unglue.app.

Security

The Service Provider takes reasonable measures to protect the confidentiality of your information and uses physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the data it processes and maintains.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Application after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of 2026-01-01.
